Addressable Panels

This page is farily short, and that's because people often think that Addressable Panels and Intelligent panels are the same, but this is not the case. Addressable technology is not necessarily new in relative terms, where Intelligent technology is. To learn more about Intelligent panels, go to this page.

Addressable panels are really defined as a panel that gives an individual address to each point, but that's really about it. Some addressable panels have some cool programming features, and allow you to disable, or rather ignore, certain points, but they are not capable of giving digital data the same way intelligent panels can. It is nice to be able to have a panel tell you exactly which device activated, and sometimes this is all a building needs, but more modern or very large buildings require much more information than just a simple address point.

Before you get too excited, it's important to note that these systems require modules and certain detectors, which allow the digital communication between devices. For more details on that, visit this page.
